Lehman Breaks MIAA Career Blocks Record

During Monday night’s blowout of St. Mary University, junior Kate Lehman broke the conference record for career blocks. She had six blocks in the game, moving her career total at Fort Hays State to 265 total blocks. The old record was held by Esmary Vargas-Sanchez of Emporia State. She set the old record of 262.

Lehman finished last season with a total of 123 blocks. The junior broke the school record in career blocked shots last year in their late January contest against Lindenwood. The old record was held by Ashlee Gustin who played at Fort Hays State from 2003-2007. Lehman also shattered the conference and school record for blocks in a single season last year.
