Eleven Tigers Earn MIAA Academic Excellence Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eleven Fort Hays State student-athletes have earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award for the 2016-17 season, announced Friday (May 26) by the league office. The Academic Excellence Award goes to individuals with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages through at least two semesters of attendance.

Award recipients include Darby Hirsch (women’s soccer), Kailey Klibbe (volleyball), Kyler Mick (wrestling), Mallory Milstead (women’s cross country/track and field), Macy Moyers (women’s tennis), Lisa Penner (women’s cross country/track and field), Kylee Poague (women’s track and field), Robin Ritsema (women’s basketball/track and field), Courtney Robinson (volleyball), Jared Vitztum (men’s basketball) and Taylor White (volleyball).

Kailey Klibbe and Lisa Penner are both repeat winners, maintaining their perfect GPA for the second year in a row.
