Ball Hits Provisional Mark in the Pole Vault at Pittsburg State

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Pole vaulter Selam Ball hit a provisional mark with an effort of 11 feet, 10.75 inches and a fifth-place finish at the Pittsburg State Invitational. She is now among the top 15 performers in the country to date.

The Tigers had several other athletes compete at the meet, but Ball was the only Tiger to gain a provisional mark on the day.

The Tigers will hit the track again next weekend at a pair of events. Some will compete at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., and others will head to the UNK Indoor Invitational in Kearney, Neb.
