Safe Trick or Treat

Safe Trick or Treat was a tradition started in 2012 to give parents a place for their kids to play in. They did this to keep the children in an enclosed space and off of the street. Alexa Ritter the President of Residential Life Association states,

“We really value the community participation we receive each year to keep Hays a safe environment for people of all ages. Especially when it comes to children because they can run all over the place. So a safe enclosed space is exactly what every parent needs for Halloween and that is what we provide. A safe enclosed space for the children to play in.”

Safe Trick or Treat provides a play area for children that encourages their imaginations to run wild while they remain safe with different fun activities in each room. The Residence Hall Association at Fort Hays State University is hosting the event from six pm to eight pm on Wednesday, October 26th in McMindes Hall on the Fort Hays State University campus.
