FHSU Baseball Lands 10 on 2016 Academic Honor Roll; Fox Named Scholar-Athlete

FHSU SPORTS INFORMATION DEPARTMENT

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State Baseball had 10 student-athletes named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the 2016 season, while senior pitcher Giles Fox also earned MIAA Scholar-Athlete honors.

To achieve honor roll status, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms. Newcomers are honored in the summer after they have completed the two-term requirement.

The 10 players named to the honor roll included Will Amen, Conner Boyer, Giles Fox, Ryan Imber, Jake Lanferman, Joe Mapes, Jonathan Mariani, Casey Sedbrook, Jake Sedbrook, and Kyle Vogt.

Fox earned the MIAA Scholar-Athlete Award, given to those who earn All-MIAA honors have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.
