Tigers Head to Oklahoma Christian For Tuesday Doubleheader

Fort Hays State looks to improve on its four game winning streak in Edmond, Okla., with a non-conference doubleheader against Oklahoma Christian on Tuesday (Apr. 12). The Tigers enter with an overall record of 17-26. Oklahoma Christian will enter Tuesday’s contest at 19-23 overall. The first pitch is set to take place at 3 pm.

Paxton Duran is coming off a stellar pitching performance this past weekend for the Tigers, when she went 4-0, with 21 strikeouts, an 0.87 ERA, and two complete game shutouts. At the plate, Rilee Krier had an excellent weekend in her own right, going 7-for-13 (.538), with two stolen bases, two RBI, and four runs scored. As a team the Tigers hit .302 during the four-game stretch improving their season average to .266.

Oklahoma Christian’s offense is led by Niki Davidson who leads the team in batting average (.378), doubles (10), and RBI (30). Madison Hagood is the top pitcher for the Eagles with a 2.87 ERA to go along with 12 wins and 97 strikeouts.
