Tigers Enter Postseason Play Ranked No. 12 in WBCA Poll

Fort Hays State Women’s Basketball slipped to No. 12 in the latest WBCA Division II Poll, released on Tuesday (Mar. 1). Fort Hays State slipped out of the top 10 in the poll for the first time this season following its regular season finale loss to Central Oklahoma. FHSU enters the postseason at 24-4 overall. First up for FHSU is the MIAA Tournament, in which it holds the No. 3 seed.

Fort Hays State is still the second-highest ranked team from the MIAA in the poll. Missouri Western remains in the top 10 at No. 7, while FHSU slipped from No. 9 to No. 12 this week. Pittsburg State sits at No. 16 this week and Emporia State checks in at No. 20. The four schools hold the top four seeds in the MIAA Tournament.

The Tigers will meet Missouri Southern in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Tournament on Thursday at 12 pm. All three other ranked teams from the MIAA will play their quarterfinal games on Thursday following the Tigers.
