Tigers Head to Panhandle State for Midweek Meeting

Fort Hays State baseball plays at Oklahoma-Panhandle State on Wednesday (Feb. 17) at 1 pm. The Tigers enter the game at 3-3 overall while the Aggies are 1-7 overall.

Following the game with Panhandle State on Wednesday, FHSU will head to Golden, Colo., for a weekend series with Colorado Mines. It will be the final non-conference series for FHSU before entering MIAA play.

At the plate, Austin Unrein leads the team in batting average at .536 with seven RBI. Joe Mapes earned MIAA/AstroTurf Co-Hitter of the Week honors for his efforts in the series against Regis last weekend. For the season, he is hitting .435 with a team-high three home runs. On the mound, Jackson Rolfs has picked up two wins in relief with no runs allowed yet this year, while Giles Fox and Logan Herd have each collected a save.
