TigerLAN 2016 is This Weekend

On February 13th Fort Hays State University will hold a TigerLAN (Local Area Network) party — a group of connected desktops and laptops simultaneously playing games together. The event will take place in the Memorial Union in the Black and Gold room and the doors open at 1:00 and can go as late at 2:00 am.

People from all over the state can come and participate in TigerLAN. This year’s tournaments include League of Legends, Counter Strike: GO, Rocket League, and Smash Bros.

This event is hosted by ATSO (Advanced Technology Student Organization). Member Nathaniel Lanier says, “I love it, it’s a great way for people to have fun and for ATSO’s members get some management experience. It’s pretty much a year round operation. We run a website, and multiple game servers. It gets our members exposed to a form of system administration and it gets them used to Command Line Interfaces.

Admission is $5.00. There will be snacks offered at the event, payment is cash only for everything. There is also a waiver participants must sign. More information can be found at tigerlan.org along with the waiver, and seating charts.
