Kid President Coming To Campus This Thursday

While there is much debate surrounding the upcoming presidential election, there is one candidate who appears to have already won the hearts of Americans. This candidate stands for the pursuit of awesomeness and works to spread joy and inspiration to others. The candidate being referred to is none other than 11-year-old Robby Novak, otherwise known as Kid President.

While Novak may be a little too young to run for the real presidential candidacy, he still acts as an inspiration to people around the world. What makes this particularly exciting is that Kid President  is making his way to Fort Hays State University tonight, February 4th at 7:30 p.m. in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center. This event is sponsored by UAB, and will be free to both Fort Hays students and the public. Doors will be opening at 7:00 p.m.

The creation of Kid President came from the minds of Brad Montague and Robby Novak in July of 2012. The web series gained popularity through Rainn Wilson’s SoulPancake YouTube Channel, which Wilson came and promoted at FHSU last spring. Montague and Novak created the series because both agreed that children have voices that are worth listening to, and wanted to share that with others.

Together the pair has created a joy movement, spreading happiness and fun through their videos that have been viewed by millions of people. Kid President is a Webby Award- winning series that has been turned into a television show known as “Declaration of Awesome” which is broadcast on the Hub Network. A New York Times Bestseller has also come from the series called “Guide to Being Awesome”.

Both Novak and Montague will be speaking at tonight’s event, and hope to continue to spread their motivational message at Fort Hays. This event is geared to young and old alike and is guaranteed to bring smiles to everyone in attendance.
