Volleyball Looks to Extend Win Streak in Conference Play at Missouri Southern and Southwest Baptist

Fort Hays State Volleyball rides a three-match win streak into this weekend as it looks to get back to .500 in the MIAA with two road matches. First, the Tigers take on Missouri Southern on Friday (Oct. 30) in Joplin, Mo., before heading to Bolivar, Mo. to take on Southwest Baptist on Saturday. The Tigers are 16-11 overall, and 5-7 in the MIAA.

The Tigers are fifth in the MIAA in hitting percentage at .220 and are holding opponents to just a .180 hitting percentage this season. Megan Anderson is leading the Tigers in hitting percentage (.316), while Crystal Whitten (329) and Mallory Flagor (313) are third and fifth respectively in the MIAA in total kills.

Missouri Southern is 2-20 overall and sits in a three-way tie for tenth in the MIAA with a conference record of 1-10. Southwest Baptist is sporting a 3-19 record overall and is tied with Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State for tenth in the MIAA at 1-10. SBU takes on the No. 16 team in the nation, Nebraska-Kearney, on Friday before inviting the Tigers to town for a Sunday afternoon matchup.
