Baseball schedule at Lincoln altered once again

Fort Hays State’s four-game baseball series at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. has been altered for a second time. The teams are now scheduled to play a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Sunday and a doubleheader at 12 p.m. on Monday.

Fort Hays State remains alive for the MIAA Tournament. The Tigers need to win all four games of the series and get help from other match-ups in the conference to chase down on of eight spots for the tournament. FHSU enters the series at 15-28 overall, 12-20 in the MIAA, while Lincoln enters at 3-41 overall, 1-27 in the MIAA.

Fort Hays State ranks second nationally in home runs with 70 for the season. FHSU has five players with eight or more home runs, led by Cooper Langley with 17. Kevin Czarnecki is also in double digits with 11. Langley ranks 14th in the nation in RBI per game (1.37) with a total of 59 for the season.
