On April 19, 2015 at 2:51 a.m. the Hays Police Department received a report of a disturbance at the America’s Best Value Inn, 2524 Vine Street. Officers arrived on scene and found a 33 year old male lying in the parking lot. The man was unconscious and had been beaten. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment and was later life-watched to Wichita.
22 year old, Truman T. Begay was also located at the scene. Begay has been arrested for Aggravated Battery and is being held in the Ellis County Jail.
The Hays Police Department and the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate this incident.
