SkyWest Airlines offers extra Thanksgiving Weekend flights

Thanksgiving is a homecoming for college students and, for most, the first visit home after three long months of being away at school. It is a time for them to go home, see family and recharge for those last couple weeks of school.

It’s not always easy for students to get home for the holidays. Since August, when the Hays Regional Airport started air service again with SkyWest Airlines and flying as United Express, getting to Denver became easier.

SkyWest offers two daily flights to Denver International Airport, which is a short hour and a half flight, compared to a four and a half hour drive.

For the Thanksgiving holiday, SkyWest is adding extra flights on Saturday Nov. 29 and Sunday Nov. 30.  SkyWest’s normal weekend scheduled only offered one flight in and out of Hays to Denver. This extra flight allows for bonus time to spend with family and friends, as well as avoiding post-Thanksgiving traffic driving back to Hays.

  1. Hey, please research your photos you included in your posts, Even tho This aircraft says Skywest on the side,
a quick search of the tail number would show that this is a company not even operating in the USA, but in fact down south in Australia, second, Skywest do not operate this type of aircraft, just a FYI as not everyone is clued up on the aviation world! thanks

  2. The above photograph is of the incorrect airline. SkyWest flys to Hays in CRJ-200 aircraft. Skywest is a company based in Australia and is the one pictured. They are not the same.
